Company picnics - rides for employees and children Opening of new businesses Brithday and graduation parties Things to Remember When Considering a Tether for Your Special Event Schedule the event for early evening or early morning when the winds are calm. Tether operations can only occur if winds are less than 5 miles per hour. The tether area should be flat and free of overhead obstructions, i.e., power lines, light poles, etc. Grass is preferred but asphalt is acceptable.
